Hugh Michael Jackman was born on October 12, 1968, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was born to Christopher John Jackman (a Cambridge-trained accountant) and mother, Grace McNeil (a housewife). His parents were English and had come to Australia in 1967 as part of the “Ten Pound Poms” immigration. He grew up in a Christian home.
