Growing up, Brad attended Kickapoo High School, where he was involved in sports (basketball), debating, student government, and school musicals. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it to his school’s basketball team.

This made him devise other options and hence become creative. Brad gathered all the basketball rejected and put together his own unofficial squad, whom he jokingly named the team the Cherokee Rejects. He even enlisted his father, Bill Pitt, as a coach.

Brad Pitt Education:

Pitt moved on to attend Kickapoo High School, where he was a member of the golf, swimming, and tennis teams. He participated in the school’s Key and Forensics clubs, in school debates, and in musicals.

Following his graduation from high school, Pitt enrolled in the University of Missouri in 1982, majoring in journalism with a focus on advertising which was approved thanks to his handsome looks.

As graduation approached, Pitt did not feel ready to settle down. His dream was to start acting, and he saw films as…” a portal that leads to different worlds”. Since films were not made in Missouri, Pitt decided to go to the city where films were made.

Two weeks before earning his degree, Pitt left the university and moved to Los Angeles, in 1986.

Having only $325 in his pocket meant he had to sleep on a couch. Pitt did many small, low-paying jobs before his acting career took off.

Some of the most notable ones include being a dancing mascot for a restaurant, being a pool boy, serving as a chauffeur who would drive strippers in limos, moving refrigerators, and finally, dressing as a giant chicken while working for “el Pollo Loco”.

Brad Pitt Childhood Biography – Rise to Fame Story:

Brad Pitt went through dark times in the 1990s as he fought through smoking addiction and the pressure to get rich.

In his words…“I got really sick of myself at the end of the 90s: Then, I was hiding out from the celebrity thing. I was smoking way too much dope, was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut. Truly, I really got irritated with myself.

He later turned his life around and got the opportunity to act, thanks to an agent who would guide him. It was Pitt’s portrayal of Achilles in the big-budget drama Troy (2004) that helped establish his appeal as an action star.

This was closely followed by a co-starring role in the stylish spy-versus-spy flick Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). Since then, he has become a household name. The rest, as they say, is now history.

Brad Pitt Past Relationships – Girlfriends before Angelina Jolie:

In April 2005, one month after Aniston filed for divorce, a set of paparazzi photographs emerged showing Pitt, Jolie, and her son Maddox at a beach in Kenya; the press interpreted the pictures as evidence of a relationship between Pitt and Jolie.

Starting in 2005, Pitt’s relationship with Angelina Jolie became one of the most reported celebrity stories worldwide.

After confirming that Jolie was pregnant in early 2006, the significant media hype surrounding the couple reached Reuters, in a story titled “The Brangelina fever,”.

It didn’t take long before Jolie became pregnant. To avoid media attention, the couple flew to Namibia for the birth of their daughter Shiloh, which was described by a paparazzi blog as “the most anticipated baby since Jesus Christ.”

Children:

Jolie gave birth to her daughter Shiloh Nouvel in Swakopmund, Namibia, on May 27, 2006.

She gave birth to son Knox Léon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline on July 12, 2008, in Nice, France. Below is a photo of their twin.

The rights for the first images of Knox and Vivienne was a battle among media platforms as regards who to purchase rights. It was finally sold to People and Hello! for $14 million. The photo of the twin became the most expensive celebrity picture ever taken.

Brad is a doting father to their six children – Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Knox, Pax, and Zahara. He reportedly wakes up early and makes breakfast for the children.

Engagement and Wedding:

Brad and Jolie announced their engagement in April 2012 after seven years together. They got married on August 23, 2014, in a private ceremony in Château Miraval, France.

Their marriage delay came because they once agreed that they will only get married once gay marriage is legal in the United States.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Divorce Story:

Divorce: On September 19, 2016, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple filed for divorce following an incident on a plane when Brad allegedly lost control of himself and clashed with son Maddox who was 16 years at that time.

In February 2017, Angelina spoke out about the divorce for the first time, commenting:

“I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family, and we will always be a family. We will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”

In August 2017, it was reported that the divorce had been “put on hold” and that they were even planning to get back together.
